Meet Dr Mafaz Ullah

With Dr Mafaz’s caring touch, his patients are no longer reluctant to seek dental treatment. He shares his skills with those who need dental care by working part time as a senior dentist for the Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service. Dr Mafaz also volunteers overseas to provide dental care for under-privileged communities.

Education and Training

After graduating from dental school in 2005 and doing postgraduate work in oral surgery, Dr Mafaz moved to Sydney in 2008. He received his PhD from the University of Sydney in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine in 2013, and presented his research on oral cancer in various conferences worldwide. While working towards his PhD, he also taught general dentistry and oral surgery at Westmead Hospital University of Sydney.

He then completed training at the University of Sydney in the fields of orthodontics and fixed prosthodontics and restorations. He has recently completed a Diploma of Dental Implantology from Charles Sturt University administered by the Australian Dental Association.

Currently, Dr Mafaz Ullah is doing post graduate studies in Oral Surgery at the University of Sydney. As a part of the training, he is working in various hospitals in Sydney including Sydney Dental Hospital, Nepean Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital and other health care facilities. He is also involved in teaching to dental students at the University of Sydney.

Outside of the Practice

In his free time, Dr Mafaz enjoys going to gym, running and playing cricket and badminton. He is also committed to working with overseas groups to provide a quality education to orphans so that they can grow up and be successful.
