What Does the Process Involve?

Your dentist will thoroughly assess your case to determine if Invisalign® treatment is a suitable option for your specific needs. To ensure accuracy, a state-of-the-art 3D iTero mouth scan will be conducted, capturing precise records of your teeth. Based on this information, a customised digital treatment plan will be created.

Once the plan is approved, a series of clear aligners, tailored to your individual requirements, will be produced. These aligners will be provided to you so that you can continue the treatment at home. Generally, follow-up visits are scheduled every four weeks, depending on the number of aligners included in your plan. The aligners will exert gentle pressure on misaligned teeth.

Each subsequent aligner will be slightly adjusted from the previous one, facilitating a gradual progression of tooth movement towards the desired final outcome. To ensure the success of your treatment, it is important to wear the aligners for at least 22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking, and oral hygiene activities.

Each case is different so treatment time depends on the individual. The duration of Invisalign® treatment varies depending on the individual case, but on average, it takes around 12 to 18 months. Some cases may require a shorter or longer treatment period. We will provide a personalised treatment plan based on your specific needs.

How much does it cost?

At your initial complimentary consultation, we will discuss the fees with you.

Does Invisalign® offer payment plans?

Delroy Park Dental Care is pleased to be able to offer patients payment options that are interest free. Visit our New Patients page for more information about the payment plans available to you.

Can I eat and drink with it?

Yes! You can easily remove aligners to eat and drink, and you can drink water while wearing the clear aligners.
Does it hurt?
Most people experience mild discomfort or pressure when starting a new set of Invisalign® aligners. This is a normal sign that the aligners are working to move your teeth. However, the discomfort is generally less pronounced compared to traditional braces. Any discomfort typically subsides within a few days as you adjust to wearing the aligners. The materials used to create your aligners is comfortable and custom created to fit your mouth so as to minimise any irritation to gums, lips, etc.

Are Invisalign® aligners noticeable?

One of the main advantages of Invisalign® is that the aligners are virtually invisible. They are made from a clear, BPA-free plastic material, making them difficult to detect when worn. This allows you to straighten your teeth discreetly and confidently.

Can anyone get Invisalign®?

Invisalign® can be an effective treatment option for a wide range of orthodontic issues, including crowded teeth, gaps between teeth, overbite, underbite, and crossbite. However, the suitability of Invisalign® for your specific case can be determined during a free consultation with our practice. We can also discuss other dental treatments to help you reach your smile goals.

How often should I wear my Invisalign® aligners?

It is recommended to wear your Invisalign® aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them only when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. If you can’t commit to wearing your aligners 22 hours a day you may not achieve the results you desire.
